One Man One Lesson, Waltz / Non-Traditional Book
The intended purpose of this project was to design a book in a non-traditional form based around a traveling concept. The form of the book was developed around the trip itself making the traveling concept a key part. The chosen trip was to take a ballroom dancing lesson to discover how difficult it is to learn. The pages are bound together with a screw post. This allows the pages to make a sweeping motion as they are turned, much like the steps taken in ballroom dancing. The concept of the project was to create an experience that would allow the reader to follow along in the footsteps of someone learning to dance. The book contains all of the clear adhesive steps needed for two people to learn the basic steps of the Waltz. Now the basic steps can be taught in the privacy of your own kitchen, living, or dining room, without pubic humiliation.
